Ruddington Framework Knitters' Museum

The cottages and framework knitting workshops are arranged around an attractive courtyard garden

The workshops are filled with hand knitting frames, used to produce fabric for making into stockings

The outhouses set around the courtyard include communal laundry room, privy, coal store and pigsty

The cottages are reconstructed to show the domestic life of framework knitting families in 1850 & 1900
