Ruddington Community Computer Centre

The Community Computer Centre is located at St. Peter's Rooms, Church Street and is open to the public 10 hours per week. There is always a volunteer on duty who can offer practical assistance to disabled users and the building is wheelchair accessible with an adapted toilet.

Equipment and Charges

The centre offers three computers, digital camera, scanner and printers - A3 colour inkjet and A4 laser - for use by residents and members of local organisations.  All the computers have high-speed ‘broadband’ internet access and a suite of Microsoft Office XP Professional software.  In addition, there is software covering a variety of creative applications and leisure pursuits: website development, photo editing, family tree creation, CAD and graphic design.

To use the centre, one must first become a member and agree to abide by the code of conduct. There is a one off joining fee of £1.00, with no annual membership charges. Computer use is free of charge, but charges are levied for printing (from 5p per page for A4 black & white to £3.25 for a colour A3 photograph on 220gms photo paper), internet access (1st hour free, then 50p per hour until March 2004) and the purchase of floppy discs (50p each) and CD-Rs (£1.00 each).
