Other Activities

Rainbows

Ruddington has several nursing and rest homes. The Rainbow team visit Balmore Nursing Home, Orchard House Rest Home and St Peter's Nursing Home and take a short daytime service for the residents once a month (usually Wednesdays, 10.30 - 12 noon) along with a monthly service at Leys Court.

If you are interested in this ministry, have a word with Lesley Shaw (via the church office).

Social

One of the things you will soon discover about this church if you come is that we enjoy being together, and we arrange a variety of activities and events throughout the year. Some of these are organised by housegroups, others by individuals. Most social events are open to anyone, and are usually publicised in the notices, along with a contact name.

Although several people organise social events, Sarah Baker and Caroline Cooke take the lead in ensuring that there are some social events for the whole church throughout the year, (swimming, overnight camping trips, bonfire parties etc) and they are the people to contact if you have some good ideas, or would like to be involved.

Worship Group

The members of the worship group use their gifts to lead and facilitate the worship within the church. This is primarily at Sunday services, but also at Sunday evening prayer times, church meetings, and one-off events. The team consists of people of various ages and abilities, singing and/or playing a range of instruments, united by their love of music and a desire to use their gifts to serve God in worship.

The group is always keen to welcome new people, so if you would like to know more, contact the worship group leader, Phil O'Neill. If you are interested in finding out more about operating the sound system, have a word with Chris Greenhalgh (via the church office).
